It is winter.
And though I sit in the snow as bare as the day of my birth,
I feel no cold.
I breathe and the air clouds before of me.
Snowflakes dance like petals in a breeze.
I am calm and at peace.
All my fears are taken by the wind.
All my worries are absorbed by the earth.
And for a moment,
I am a timeless creature.
Connected to the countless generations before me
Who have closed their eyes
And heard the earth breath
And felt its heart beat in time with their own.

Author's Comments

I wrote this late at night a long time ago. I don't know what kind of mood I was in when I wrote it, but I found it today at thought it was still good (or at least not horrible). So I thougnt I might as well submit it. Tell me what you think and all that jazz.

PS. If anyone can tell me how to center text, you would become my eternal hero until Tuesday.

I agree with Stacy; it's delightful, something deserving of a "squee."
